Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr. Mani Adams
and two others appear in court for arraignment
on charges.

by Ed Vincent

Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr. Mani Adams (32 years old
and
an ex-policeman with 7 years experience
) quit his job last
year on December 9th, almost a year after trouble first raised
its head in the officer many remembered as having smiles
and a quiet demeanor.

He was represented by the well connected and influential
lawyer Mr. Tom Leinenweber.  The Judge has the same
name and is believed to be the father of the attorney
representing Mr. Mani Adams.  We are watching to see
if Judge Leinenweber recuses himself from the trial of
Mr. Adams.  He has already had another Judge step up
and take control of the actual arraignment in a recent order
by the court.

The Day after this arraignment was posted another Judge was
issued the call to perform the actual arraignment,  perhaps so that
there were not so many Leinenwebers involved.

The Indictment is shown below for the defendants.
