![]() ![]() Modern Times by Bob Dylan review by Ed Vincent Bob Dylan's latest, 5 year wait, album is a treasure. Modern Times is a resurrection of talent and rebirth of one of our times greatest balladeers. There were some years there when I would hear Dylan sing and I could barely make out what he was saying, let alone singing. His vocal expression is now clear and his writing is sharp and on the mark. I feel younger and my new convertible car feels younger too-while Dylan is playing on the cd player. His wit and cries for understanding are as relevant today as his pleas for love and understanding were in his earlier times. This is a beautiful album filled with tons of soul and rhythm. If you want to hear some fun songs with toe tapping beats have a listen to one of the greats and a new trip into great music. Keep it up Mr. Dylan.... please. Bob Dylan's first new album in five years, the highly-anticipated Modern Times includes 10 new songs recorded this past winter, and features Dylan on the keyboard, guitar, harmonica and vocals, and accompanied by his touring band. Modern Times is seen as the third release in an outstanding triology along with Time Out Of Mind and Love and Theft and is set to be another groundbreaking record for the music icon.
