The event was either for a Saturday or Sunday and Saturday was already filled. What could be more fun than a visit on a Sunday to a Hooters? The food was excellent, the staff attentive, the weather was great, and sitting there with my wife I even felt single and younger for a moment. I would have thought that the food would have been overpriced to make up for the gorgeous scenery. The food is about the same price as a Denny's, butt that's where the similarity ends. The Hooter's girls actually get paid less than if they were at Denny's, but they make up the difference in tips-enough that some drive a hour just to get to work. A couple of weeks ago I was in Paris, and at the Moulin Rouge at 2:00 a.m.. Hooter's is sort of an American Moulin Rouge but calmed down with regular food and no need for a suit....a Moulin Rouge hamburger stand. Some children of well known Oak Parkers work at Hooter's and anyone wanting some good food with a young smile should come have a taste. Hooter's is a smiling, happy, good tasting thrill a minute. If local readers are upset by the name Hooter's think of the Gay bar on Oak Park's border called the Nut Bush.
