Nature Story Times:
Nature-inspired stories, crafts and activities
for ages 3 – 5 with an adult. $1.00 per child. Thurs., May 1, 15, 29,
at
10:30 a.m.
Birding for Kids:
Children grades 4-6 are invited to a fun program
on bird-watching. We’ll learn to identify birds, use binoculars, and
check
out bird behavior. We’ll then put it all together on a bird walk! All
equipment provided. Please register by May 1. $1.00 per child. Sat.,
May 3, 8:00 a.m.
Gardening with
Pollinators: Where would we be without pollinators?
Join us for an informative class about how to attract the industrious
little creatures that make most flowers, fruit and vegetables possible.
Each participant will also create a Blue Mason Bee house to take home.
Adult program; $2.00 per person. Please register in advance. Sunday,

Friday Morning
Bird Walk: Join a Naturalist for a guided walk to
look for both resident and returning migratory birds. All levels of
birding
interest welcome! We have some binoculars to lend. Free, no registration

Family Garlic
Mustard Pull: Assist the staff of Trailside in restoring
wildflower and wildlife habitat by pulling out the invading weed Garlic
Mustard. Refreshments and gloves provided. For adults and children 10

1:00 p.m.
Morning Fitness
Hike: Enjoy a brisk Naturalist-led 1 hour hike on our
scenic trails to see what’s happening in nature this month. Meet at the
entrance of Trailside Museum. Adult program; please dress for the
weather and for rough ground. Sat. May 17, 9:00 a.m.
Pond Life:
Discover the amazing creatures that live on top of and
below the surface of our pond by scooping out samples to examine with
magnifiers and microscopes. Family program; free! Please register in
advance. Sunday, May 25, 1:00 p.m.
