Dismembered Human Body
Found in Four Black Plastic
Bags in Oak Park Alley

report by Ed Vincent

Mr. Udelson, the resident at 1024 South Clarence Avenue in Oak Park, went out to his garage at a little before 11:00 am this morning and found four large black plastic bags.  His
wife had gone to the garage earlier to go to work.

Mr. Udelson (60 years old) went out to examine the bags
and found a human foot wearing a sock, when he cut through the double bag.  The foot had been severed.  He called  the police and instantly the area was covered in local police.  Evidence technicians, detectives, and ranking officials all came to the call.

Initial reports indicate a person who had been murdered recently and put into four bags.  The persons head, torso, arms and legs were all found in the seperate bags.  The
victim has not been identified by the authorities.  The
body parts were left alone until the Cook County Medical
examiner arrived.  He is charged with finding the cause of
death, and time.  It was not known if there identification
on the that body part that might have had a wallet or not.

The dismembered man was found about a block away from
Oak Park's conservatory, across the expressway on the
south end of the village.

12:10 pm Police photographers are taking pictures of evidence
throughout the alley.

Police are going door to door to see if anyone heard or saw anything unusual in the neighborhood.

12:52 pm  Oak Park Fire department is called to come the scene
for a wash down of the crime scene.

Any witnesses should call Oak Park police at 708-386-3800
Any tip can often help in solving a crime.

Update:

Neighbors have revealed that they saw no bags in the alley
at 8:30 pm last night (March 10th) and that helps establish a timeline for the disposal of the victim.  Warren Udelson's
wife left the house about an hour before he came out.  His wife had mentioned that there were some bags by their garage.  An hour or so later Mr. Udelson left the home to examine the bags.  The bags were double thick and he cut
through one of them to find a human foot.

Oak Park has had a recent history of robberies in its allies
and the leaving of a young hispanic man would point to
someone who was perhaps not from the immediate area.
Could the drug trade at the Mexican border be finding
victims this far north?  The drug trade in the area is strongest
in the 15th Police district of Chicago and that is all controlled
by black gangs, not hispanic.  More will be come to fruition as the investigation continues.
