Adult Male Driver Smelling of Alcohol Kills Himself Crashing His Truck into Cemetary Headstones

A small pick up truck driven by a 36 year old male, Mr.
Robert Hall of the 1000 block of Farnsworth Avenue in
Aurora, Illinois crashed into the Free Sons of Israel Cemetery
located between the Des Plaines River and Des Plaines Avenue
just south of Roosevelt road.  The crash occurred about 4:24 a.m. when the blue pick up truck came around a curve in the
road heading north.  There were no signs of breaking from the
vehicle noted on the pavement.  The area is dark that time of
the day and fortunately for others not busy to local traffic.

Mr. Hall was reported to have smelled of alcohol at the scene,
according to police officers and is said by friends to have been at a bar prior to the crash.  His vehicle crashed through a
chain link fence and toppled and damaged over a dozen headstones.

<>Robert Hall was taken to the Oak Park Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival according to a Forest Park press
release.  Final toxicology reports will take several days.
