LYRIC OPERA OF CHICAGO ANNOUNCES CHORUS AUDITIONS
FOR THE 2011-2012 SEASON — OPENINGS FOR ALL VOICE CATEGORIES


Lyric Opera of Chicago will hold auditions in January, February, and March for experienced, classically trained singers in all voice categories who seek positions in the company's choral ensemble for the 2011-2012 season. Auditions will be held on the following dates in 2011:

PRELIMINARY AUDITIONS
 



The deadline for submitting materials is Friday, January 28. Applicants must sing a preliminary audition to be considered for the callback auditions.

CALLBACK AUDITIONS (if necessary)
Saturday, March 5
3:00 - 5:00 PM


Lyric Opera of Chicago will mount a production requiring a chorus of African-American singers. Positions will be available in all voice categories for African-American singers for this production.

AUDITIONS BY INVITATION ONLY
To obtain an audition invitation, singers should send a current résumé and photo to:


Please include a cover letter indicating your first, second, and third choices for your audition dates and times. You may also email your materials to choraud@lyricopera.org Once you have submitted your materials, your information will be evaluated by the Chorus Master and appointments will be made for qualified candidates. Not all applicants who submit a résumé and photo will be asked to audition. Walk-ins will NOT be seen.
